Inter Milan technical director Marco Branca has denied reports that a £35million deal for Wesley Sneijder has been struck with Manchester United.
Newspapers in both Italy and England claimed that the Old Trafford outfit were planning a big-money move for the Holland international.
Branca, however, insists Inter do not want to sell their talented playmaker and would not welcome any bids for him.
"Wesley Sneijder is untransfereable," said Branca. "There is nothing to update.
Offer
"It's not surprising Sneijder is wanted by other clubs, but we have received no formal offer, nor do we intend to wait for one.
"We know what we have to do and there are no meetings planned with his agent. Sneijder is not for sale."
United are on the hunt for a playmaker after the retirement of Paul Scholes at the end of last season.
They have also been linked with Arsenal's Samir Nasri and Tottenham's Luka Modric this summer as they search Europe for a replacement.
