McLeish compensation agreed
The legal disputes between Birmingham City and Aston Villa regarding Alex McLeish have come to an end after the agreement of an undisclosed compensation fee.
Villa controversially appointed the Scot as their new manager in June despite their Second City rivals putting up a fierce fight to prevent their boss from moving.
Lawyers were consulted, however, the deal to pay an undisclosed figure means both parties have agreed to end the quarrels that arose from McLeish's appointment.
The settlement also covers Villa's later recruitment of Blues first-team coach Peter Grant and chief medical officer Dr Ian McGuinness.
A statement on Birmingham's official website read: "Birmingham City and Aston Villa can confirm that agreement has been reached between the parties ending the legal disputes surrounding Alex McLeish's departure.
"Aston Villa has agreed to pay Birmingham City an undisclosed figure following negotiations whereby the parties have agreed to bring to an end all disputes including the further recruitment of Peter Grant and Dr Ian McGuinness by Aston Villa."
